Privacy
Find Your Halal is a directory of food places. You don't need an account, and we don't ask you for personal details.
What this site does itself
- It sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics.
- Near me asks your browser for your location only when you press the button. The position is used in your browser to sort the list. It isn't sent to us or stored.
- Searches run in your browser against files the site sends you. What you type isn't sent to us.
- Like any web server, ours keeps standard access logs (your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser type) for security and fixing faults. They are deleted after about 14 days.
Third parties
- OpenStreetMap supplies the map pictures. When you open a map, your browser requests them from OpenStreetMap's servers, which see your IP address. See the OpenStreetMap privacy policy.
- Google AdSense shows ads on city pages and on pages for places tagged halal. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to show and measure ads. In the UK and EEA this only happens after you agree in the consent message, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy settings link Google provides on the page. You can also manage ad personalisation at Google Ad Settings or aboutads.info. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Where the place data comes from
Places, addresses and halal tags come from public data (Food Standards Agency, OpenStreetMap, postcodes.io). See how we label places and where the data comes from. If you own a place and something is wrong, tell us and we will correct or remove it.
